Facilities

Overview

The two community colleges that make up the San José · Evergreen Community College District (SJECCD) are San José City College and Evergreen Valley College, which equate to 1.6 million gross square feet of building space and 160 acres of land, serving approximately 19,000 students per semester.

Thanks to the passage of three Proposition 39 general obligation bond measures for San José · Evergreen Community College District, Measure G-2004, Measure G-2010 and Measure X (2016), the campuses are in the process of being transformed into the most modern, best-equipped post-secondary education facilities in the Silicon Valley. These bond measures support the district's efforts toward upgrading its facilities, constructing energy-efficient, technology-driven, classrooms and labs, upgrading outdated electrical, plumbing, heating/ventilation systems, and working toward achieving maximum efficiency, both in our teaching environments and in the infrastructure that supports those environments. The improvements made possible by these voter-supported bond measures have allowed us to continue our mission to assist students in achieving their educational and employment goals.

San José City and Evergreen Valley Colleges have recently completed Facility Master Plans which envision the physical campuses in 2030. Facility Master Plans and Bond related program documents are located on the Bond website.
