Greatest Need FundThe purpose of the SJECCD Foundation is best accomplished through the Greatest Need's Fund, which is the unrestricted fund of the Foundation. The unrestricted fund allows the Foundation Board to apply these resources to the most pressing needs of the District, students, faculty and staff in a timely manner.
Chancellor's CircleUnexpected opportunities and unbudgeted expenditures are facts of life on college campuses just as they are in our homes and businesses. The Chancellor’s Circle is a growing group of donors who recognize the need for a flexible, unrestricted pool of funds that enables the Chancellor to meet emergency needs or take advantage of special opportunities that will benefit the District. Annual membership in the Circle is $1,000 per year. Individuals, businesses and organizations are eligible and welcome to join. Circle members receive invitations to attend intimate gatherings with the Chancellor to learn more about the vision and direction of the SJECCD that returns $622,000 to our local, regional and state economy.
President's Fund A gift of any size to the President’s Fund allows the respective President to address the college’s “Greatest Need” with this unrestricted fund. Over 90% of a college’s budget is restricted and Presidents often need to address an emergency that has no definitive funding source. Your gift to the President’s Fund makes an immediate difference in keeping students on course. President's Fund donors receive discounts to college athletic events and invitations to unique campus programs, lectures and activities.
Planned GiftSome donors have an interest in a “Planned Gift” that provides a major tax benefit to the donor while still supporting the Colleges and students. Planned gifts typically name either the College or the District as a beneficiary in a Will, Bequest, or Insurance policy. Other types of planned gifts include Charitable Gift Annuities, Unitrust or Lead Trust.
Please contact our Interim Institutional Advancement Officer, directly for more information about Planned Gift Giving.
