About Us

Information Technology Services & Support (ITSS) provides centralized services to the San Jose- Evergreen Community College District. ITSS provides Help Desk support for the colleges and District Office and is responsible for the following district-​wide resources and services:

  • ​​Enterprise Resource Planning ​​System (Ellucian’s Colleague System) design, configuration and support
  • Oracle and MS-SQL implementation and support
  • Third party applications support: Asset Management, Reporting Portal, Library System
  • Email Services (Exchange, Office 365)
  • Custom Programming in support of ERP and related applications
  • Distance Education Platform (Moodle) support
  • Emergency Notification System: Configuration, management, interface to ERP
  • Telephone system (VoIP) design and support: including voice mail and cell phones
  • Computer systems analysis and design
  • Network LAN and WLAN installation, configuration, maintenance and support
  • PC configuration and deployment
  • Web site hosting for both Internet and intranet
  • IT Security: Firewalls, Scanning, Change Management, VPN Access, CENIC data and video gateways
  • District-wide general technical consulting
  • District-wide Help Desk

We support day-to-day activities in the administrative and academic offices at the District and both Colleges assisting them by meeting the ongoing demands for IT services and supporting student success. ITSS continues to encourage as much user independence as is practical, providing support through trainings, workshops and an intranet web site.


The department operates five days a week, supporting both District and College operations. Online interactive services and telephone support are available Monday through Friday from 7 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. The Help Desk is located at the District Office.
