SJECCD WELCOMES Dr. BEN SEABERRY
The San José-Evergreen Community College District announces Dr. Ben Seaberry to the position of Vice Chancellor of Information Technology/CISO. Ben has served as the senior Information Technology Administrator at two California Community Colleges for the past 14 years including the past three years as the Chief Information Officer for Southwestern Community College District. At SWC Ben provided leadership and support for the Technology Master Plan and Ellucian Action Plan which included many district wide projects -- New Chart of Accounts, Student Ed Plan (first phase), GO Mobile App, Electronic Financial Aid Refunds, Wide Area Network, Enterprise Network Development and Annual Technology Plan Revisions. Prior to SWC, Ben served as the Executive Dean of Information Technology and Services at Diablo Valley College and completed a doctoral program in Educational Leadership with a focus on Distance Education.
Seaberry's appointment fills a much needed position in the District's IT infrastructure. We are excited and pleased he has joined our team.

Information Technology Services & Support (ITSS) provides centralized services to the San Jose- Evergreen Community College District. The ITSS team is organized into two groups, one dealing with infrastructure and the other dealing with applications. The services provided by these two groups includes Datatel Colleague services reports generation, on-line inquiries and input to specific files, in addition to:
We support day-to-day activities in the administrative and academic offices at the District and both Colleges assisting them by meeting the ongoing demands for IT services and supporting student success. ITSS continues to encourage as much user independence as is practical, providing support through trainings, workshops and an intranet web site.
The department operates five days a week, supporting both District and College operations. Online, interactive services and telephone support are available Monday through Friday from 7 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. The main office is located at the District Office complex.
