  • All benefits are effective the first of the month following the hire date.

    Retirement Plans:

    Retirement plans are avialable for Classified - Public Employees Retirement System (PERS) and for Academic - State Teachers Retirement System (STRS).
    The district provides 100% monthly premium coverage for employee, spouse, eligible domestic partners and eligible dependents for the following health and welfare plans:
    Medical Coverage Options:

    Blue Cross PPO
    Kaiser Permanente
    (Employee Assistance Program (EAP) benefits through United Behavioral Health are provided upon enrollment of medical plan)

    Dental:

    Delta Dental will provide dental services. If your dentist is a DPO (Delta Preferred Option) your regular visits to the dentist is 100% paid.
    Vision:

    Medical Eye Services provides eye care for you and your family's eye care needs.

    Life Insurance:

    SJECCD provides employees' insurance upon employment for you and your family for: Group Insurance, Accidental Death, and income protection plans through Long Term Disability. Additional life insurance is optional and available for purchase.
